Meet Our Support Staff

The exceptional veterinary care and client service provided at Aloha Animal Hospital doesn’t stop with our veterinarians. Our team of qualified veterinary staff and passionate technicians, care coordinators, and assistants make every visit to Aloha extraordinary.

Ellen Ewen is Aloha’s Supervising Head Tech and she has been with Aloha Animal Hospital since their doors opened in 2007.  She’s been in the veterinary field since 1999 where she started as Head Receptionist and then furthered her training as a veterinary technician.  Over the years, Ellen has worked in primary care hospitals and emergency/critical care hospitals.  Her favorite aspect of the veterinary field is client education and the constant learning in the field of science.

Away from work, Ellen is a doting mother and wife to her young son and husband.  She enjoys hiking, swimming, crafting and spending time with her family.  Her furbabies are June, a visually impaired cat and Brunson, an energetic cattle dog mix.

Dottie is the Front Desk Supervisor. She has been in the Veterinary field since 2001 and became a part of the Aloha team in 2011. She grew up in Orange county, NY and moved to the Hanover area in 1997.

Dottie’s favorite part of Aloha is seeing all the friendly faces of our patients and clients. Being able to help clients reach their pet’s optimum health through communication and education is what makes her enjoy working at the front desk.

In her free time Dottie likes to shop (maybe too much) and travel to new and exciting places. She is happiest when spending time with her husband James and 3 Pomeranians Milo, Suki and Chloe.

“I am a certified technician with a degree in veterinary technology from YTI Career Institute. I have been in the veterinary field for about four years and love having a job that aims to improve the health and well-being of dogs and cats. My love for animals spreads to home where my fiancé and I are proud parents to three amazing dogs. We all enjoy living out in the countryside and love to go for hikes in our free time.”

Beth has been a part of the Aloha team since 2010. She works at the front desk as a part time receptionist. When she’s not at Aloha you can find her walking dogs or pet sitting.

Beth lives in the area with her husband Bill and his two sons. They have two Miniature Schnauzers, Bullet and Cole.

In her spare time you may find Beth at her home away from home in Chincoteague, Va., spending time at the beach with her family. She also enjoys kayaking and learning about creation.

Abby is one of the receptionists here at Aloha. She joined the team in 2012. It’s no secret she loves animals and enjoys greeting all the wagging tails coming through the door.

Abby shares her home with her 16-year-old daughter Mekayla and their 2 beautiful pit bulls, Lola and Ramona and 2 cats, Jinx and Penelope.

Abby has a deep love for horses that started at a young age and for the last 8 years she has been working with a therapeutic riding ministry for people with disabilities. Also in her spare time she enjoys going to rock concerts with her daughter, riding horses, repurposing old furniture and traveling to Virginia any chance she gets.

Abby brings her love of animals to her job and looks forward to many more years at Aloha.

Danielle became part of the Aloha team in 2016 as a part-time receptionist. She has two dogs and two cats. In her spare time she enjoys spending time outside with her husband and dogs, Kolt and Jasper.

Kristina was raised on a large poultry farm in Southern York County and now lives on a farm with her husband raising beef cattle and various crops. They have two labs, Remi and Clifford, a German Wirehaired Dachshund, Amy, as well as five cats. She enjoys traveling and spending time at the beach as well as her new passion, Crossfit.

Kristina graduated from Wilson College with a B.S. in Veterinary Medical Technology and minor in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management in 2009 and began her career as a veterinary technician in 2005.

Kristina enjoys being a veterinary technician because she gets to experience the human-animal bond at its core. End of life decisions are a very difficult time for owners, but she enjoys spending time listening to their stories and hearing just how much each pet meant to their owner. She believes it gives them the peace of mind they need during this time. Kristina also enjoys continuing her education in the field of veterinary medicine.

Julie has been with Aloha Animal Hospital since September 2017. Before joining Aloha, Julie began her career in 1992 as a veterinary assistant and worked at several animal hospitals in the York area. She loves the challenge of the profession and working closely with our clients, educating them about preventative care for their beloved pets. In addition, Julie received a degree in fine arts and photography in 1984 and enjoys her time outside of work exploring the world with her husband and daughter with camera in hand.
